Spark Trap to disrupt airflow and extinguish sparks within Flanged Applications.
Nordfab Flanged In Line Spark Trap disrupts the laminar airflow which causes sparks to cool and extinguish before they can enter the dust collector with minimal pressure loss. The trap can easily be remove for clean out. There are no moving parts and no power is required for operation.
We recommend that it is placed at least 10 times the diameter away from the dust collector and the source. It's designed for horizontal mounting into flanged ducting systems, or QF duct systems with the use of an Angle Flange Adapter. When installed as part of a dust collection system, it greatly reduces the possibility of fire in cyclones / collectors by decreasing the number of sparks which could reach the cyclone or collector through the ductwork. Therefore, it reduces costs and disruptions and improves safety.
Flanged ends are standard. The flanges are retained via a vanstone lip so that bolt holes can easily be aligned with those on existing flanged connections. Available with QF ends in diameters up to 24" and other end types upon request.
