Efficient, Compact and Economical Wet Dust Collector

The AAF® RotoClone® SVN is an efficient, compact and economical wet dust collector specifically designed for air volume requirements up to 8000 CFM. Its source capture and dust removal features allow recirculation of plant air in most applications. This helps conserve energy and provides a clean working environment. Many industrial processes create dusts which are most easily and economically collected by a small wet collector. The RotoClone® SVN collector cleans the air by the combined action of centrifugal force and through intermixing of water and dust laden air.

The RotoClone SVN is a cost effective dust collection solution that requires no compressed air, replacement cartridges or fabric bags. The SVN incorporates integrated water level monitoring and filling to ensure the proper level at all times. Capable of handling hot, moist gas streams and oily or explosive dusts with no moving parts; while ensuring airflow performance is maintained without interruption or downtime as typically demanded in many of the following industrial processes.

Since the RotoClone® SVN utilizes water as the filtration medium, the wet dust collector can be used on explosive dust applications especially light metals such as titanium, aluminum, and magnesium without additional expensive explosion protection equipment. This means the RotoClone® SVN offers the end user an inherently safe, NFPA 484 compliant, and easy to maintain dust collection system.

The RotoClone® SVN, is designed for reduced height and low initial cost. This arrangement is ideal for applications where the dust loading is light, the collected material is removed manually using a hand held rake.

NFPA 484: Standards for Combustible Metals

According to recent OSHA reports, 30% of dust explosions are started by mechanical sparks. The most recent version of NFPA 484: Standard for Combustible Metals was released in 20115 to help mitigate potential explosions in the metalworking industry. The cost of preventing industrial dust explosions is necessary, but could be expensive. AAF wet dust collectors can reduce this cost significantly in comparison with dry dust collectors.
